The Waxahachie High School Men’s Soccer team delivered an outstanding performance at the CCISD / Gulf Coast Soccer Tournament, earning the tournament championship with an 8–1 victory over Angleton in the final match.
This championship run showcased the discipline, preparation, and teamwork that define WHS Men’s Soccer. From the opening whistle of tournament play through the final match, the boys competed with intensity and pride—representing Waxahachie at the highest level.
“This group has put in the work, and it’s exciting to see it translate on the field,” said Head Coach Seth Riley. “What excites me most is that this is just the beginning. The official season is ahead of us, and this tournament showed the potential of what this team can accomplish together.”
Beyond the scoreline, this championship reflects the collective effort behind the program. The support of families, fans, community members, and sponsors continues to play a critical role in creating opportunities for these student-athletes to succeed both on and off the field.
The CCISD / Gulf Coast Soccer Tournament brings together strong programs from across Texas and the region, making this title a meaningful accomplishment for the team and the Waxahachie community.
